Andrew Schaan is a Visual Artist based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He works in a variety of mediums with a focus on painting, including acrylic, watercolour, and oil. A multiple-exhibition showing of Andrew's work took place in four rooms of a private home gallery in August of 2020, and then was part of a group show at the back door gallery in Saskatoon. He has shared his talents at local festivals and Saskatoon's first ever Body Paint Cabaret. As a teacher, Andrew has instructed art classes for people of all ages, in canvas painting, ceramic painting, glass fusing, needle felting, paper quilling, and paper marbling. Andrew and his husband, poet Ryan Bradshaw love to explore Saskatchewan's art and nature. When he isn't creating art Andrew loves jumping into a green lake, sitting by a fire counting the stars, or enjoying a cozy cup of tea.
Andrew fell into tea leaf reading and divination several years ago. Reading leaves is a way to receive messages from the universe. After finding his love for tea and tasseography, Andrew learned that this passion, as well as his passion for art, is something he has been gifted from his grandmother, often reading from the same cups that she read her own leaves from years ago. Please enjoy. |
